Detailed Travel Plan:

Day 01: Delhi

Welcome to India! You will be received and assisted by Castle & King India Inc India Travel representative at International or Domestic Airport. The representative will transfer you to the hotel in a car booked for you. There would be a chauffeur for you. In the hotel, you will be briefed about the tour by the representative.

Overnight stay will be at the Hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast in the morning, you will be taken on a tour of Indias bustling capital city that is the Old and New Delhi. Both the parts of the city will present you with the stunning sights of the region. Ancient city was founded by Emperor Shah Jahan, who has built the architectural marvel like Taj Mahal, and the new garden city was built in 1911 by the British. Drive through the old city past the Red Fort and visit the Jama Masjid - the biggest of its kind in India. Here embark on a walk covering the winding streets of the old city to watch the life of the people in this part of the world. Later, you will pay a visit to the Qutub Minar - the tallest free standing minaret in stone in the world; then onto Humayun's tomb - the first Mughal construction in India (from 1565 AD). Also see the President House (Rashtrapati Bhawan) and the India Gate. India Gate was constructed in the earlier half of the 20th century.

Day 3: Delhi - Agra
By surface: 220 Km 4 Hrs

En route Agra, you will visit Sikandara. It is the tomb of Akbar, the great Mughal emperor. Resume your drive to Agra and after you reach, visit the Red Fort erected by Akbar. It is believed that Red Fort is the site where Shahjehan's own son Aurangzeb imprisoned Shahjahan. Later, you can relax at the hotel or explore the local bazaar to observe from close quarters the lifestyle of the people.

Day 04: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur

You will visit Taj Mahal early morning. A must see with the rising sun, as the Taj Mahal drenched in the golden rays of the morning sun looks absolutely eye catchy. The Taj was erected by Shah Jahan. It is a white marble memorial built with the tomb of his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. This monument took 22 years to complete. It was designed and planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa. Besides, its attractive design, and up-to-the-mark symmetry, the site is also famed particularly for its stunning domes, elaborately carved screens. Some of the finest examples of inlay work of the world can also be seen here. Later after breakfast, you will move to Jaipur. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the Phantom city. Visit this abandoned city built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the second half of the 16th century. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar after his Hindu wife bore him the long awaited son who was born after the renowned sufi saint Salim Chisti blessed Jodhabai Akbar's Hindu wife with a son. You will also be taken to Jodhabai's palace. It is the largest palace in Fatehpur Sikri. It is even bigger than the emperor's palace himself as this was the queen who bore him his heir to the throne. Later, you will explore the ornithological reserve at Bharatpur - Keoladevi National Park. See the varied varieties of birds and animals during your tour inside the park. This is the only National Park where you get to see the rare species of the Siberian Crane during winter season.

Day 05: Jaipur

In the morning, you will pay a visit to the Wind Palace (Hawa Mahal). Later, visit the Amber fort which displays a beautiful mix of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture, including an elephant ride at the Amber fort. See the marvellous Sheesh Mahal. It was built in the 17th century and boasts of a fusion of Hindu and Islamic arts. Also, visit the hall of public audiences and Maharaja Man Singh's Palace who had twelve queens. On the way, you will stop at the Water Palace. This was a resting place for the kings in past. Later, visit Galta Sun Temple located in the attractive surroundings of mountains. The temple is also known as Monkey temple. Here, you can find a lot of monkeys who are friendly and doesnt harm. After lunch, you will set off for the Pink city, paying a visit to the observatory Jantar Mantar. The observatory was constructed in 1727 by Sawai Maharaja Jai Singh II who was a mathematician, an astronomer an astrologer and a great musician of his era. He erected five observatories throughout India in the places including Jaipur, Ujjain, Varanasi, Mathura and Delhi. But, the one at Jaipur is only functional. Then, visit the City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur which has an interesting collection of robes and saris in cotton and silk with gold latticed work. The City Palace has a good collection of paintings also in the painting gallery and of course a collection of arms and ammunitions in the ammunition gallery. Later, you will give a visit to the Birla Temple. It is a great piece of work in marble. In the evening, you will enjoy a cinema in Asias Second Best Cinema Hall. It is a must visit place. Afterwards, enjoy a Dinner in a typical Indian Restaurant with Folk Dances by Gypsy women.

Day 06: Jaipur - Ajmer - Pushkar
By surface: 180 Km 3 Hrs,

After breakfast, you will continue to drive towards Pushkar. Pushkar happens to be the holiest places according to the Hindus as it is considered that Lord Brahma (the Creator) and his wife Saraswati (the goddess of learning and music) performed a ritual in the lake. Here, you will be visiting the only Brahma temple of the world before intermingling with the local colours in the local bazaar. Pushkar is renowned for its Cattle Pushkar Fair. The fair is organised every year in the month of October or November. From here, you will proceed to Ajmer. Ajmer is the pious city for the Muslims. Surprisingly both the cities are at distance of 11km from each other. Visit the Durgah built in fond remembrance of Khwaja Muin ud Din Chisti. The Muslim pilgrims from all over India throng during the festival times.

Day 07: Pushkar - Jodhpur

Early Morning, you will drive to Jodhpur, the blue city in Rajasthan. In the evening, visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the present residence of the king of Jodhpur. Retire to your hotel and relax. Post lunch session, you will be introduced to the fabulous spice market of Jodhpur reckoned as the 2nd largest city in Rajasthan. Walk along the market to feel the odours of the spices filling the air around you.

Day 08: Jodhpur

After breakfast, Visit the majestic Mehrangarh fort, the stronghold of the Rathore princes from 1453AD. We see the superb collection of paintings and arms and ammunitions. The view of the city from the rampart walls is breathtaking. Going down from the fort, you will visit Jaswant Thada. Later, we take you on a safari to discover the hidden beauty of the jungle life. Here you would be visiting the Bishnoi villages. Bishnois are a tribe that respects life in every form animals, trees and even dead branches. They are vegetarians and even in the villages they protect the animal life and don't let anybody practice hunting in the vicinity of their villages. They live in a joint family where the oldest member is generally the head of the family. Then, you would be taken to attend the opium ceremony with the Patels - a rich tribe. In this ceremony in Rajasthan, the young people offer opium mixed with water to the elder members of the family to drink when they return home from work in the fields.

Day 09: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur

After breakfast, you will be driven to Udaipur best known as the Romantic City of Lakes. En route, you will visit Ranakpur. It is a very big pilgrimage centre for the Jains. Ranakpur is only about four hours from Udaipur. Admire the workmanship from the 16th century. The temples are made of marble and the main shrine of Adinath with 1444 columns is awe inspiring and none of these are similar. Also, visit the sun temple along with other temples in the campus. Later, you will visit The Kumbhalgarh Fort. It was the stronghold of the kingdom of Mewar built by Maharana Kumbha in 1453. Visit the palace and see the beautiful mural paintings in the Zenana mahal (ladies quarters). The view from the parapet wall is breathtaking and this is where the soldiers used to be stationed to look out for the advent of the enemies. The fort has 7 gates through which we need to enter to gain access to the palaces. See the temple where Maharana Kumbha was treacherously killed by his own kith and kin during his prayer to win the seat of Mewar. On the way, you will stop by the fields to see the local way of farming and irrigation. Walk into the villages to mingle with the locals around to know more about their lifestyle. You will reach Udaipur by late afternoon and check into your hotel.

Day 10: Udaipur

You will be taken on a visit to the City Palace. It is the richest palace museum in the whole of Rajasthan. Here, you will be visiting the Peacock Square and the miniature painting school located within the palace premises. Udaipur has the prestige of housing the best miniature schools in the country under the royal patronage of the king of Udaipur. Later, you will go to the Sahelion ki Bari which was built as a garden complex with fountains and lakes by Maharana Sangram Singh for his lovely daughter. In the evening, you will be taken on a lake cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichhola by sunset. Check the island palace Jagmandir where according to legends the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan lived and got inspired to build the Taj mahal later.

Day 11: Udaipur - Bombay - Goa

After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for Goa.

Goa: Goa is India's smallest state in terms of area (since it attained statehood in 1987) and the fourth smallest in terms of population after Sikkim, Mizoram and Arunanchal Pradesh. It is ideally sitting on the west coast of India, in the region known as the Konkan. It is surrounded by the state of Maharashtra to the north, and Karnataka to the east and south. The Arabian Sea makes up the state's west coast. Panaji is the state's capital, and Vasco-de-Gama (Vasco) its largest town. It is believed that in the 16th century, the Portuguese merchants first arrived in Goa and soon after colonised it. The Portuguese colony found its existence here for about 450 years, until it was annexed as part of India in 1961.

Day 12: Goa

After breakfast, you can spend your day on the stunning beaches of the city and pamper yourself with the amenities available at the resort. You visit Old Goa -10 km from Panjim, the basilica of Bom Jesus, the 16th century church dedicated to infant Jesus and enshrining the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, is one of the most important sights of Goa. Some other Churches in this area include St. Cathedral, with its dome-shaped interior, Church of our Lady of Rosary and Nunnery of St. Monica. The Aguada Fort constructed by the Portuguese is located close to the mouth of the rover Mondovi and features a lighthouse. And in the evening, you can enjoy Cruise over Mondovi River.

Day 13: Goa

After morning breakfast, rest of the day is free to explore the beaches of Goa. Take a stroll to the noted beaches of Goa including Anjuna Beach, Colva Beach and Calangute Beach. Later, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 14: Goa

After breakfast in the morning, you are free to spend rest of the day to explore the beaches of Goa. Visit the stunning beaches of Goa such as Anjuna Beach, Colva Beach and Calangute Beach. Later, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 15: Goa - Delhi/Mumbai (Bombay)
By Flight IT-3132 (Dep: 06:30 - Arr: 07:25)

After breakfast, you are free to spend the day at leisure on the beaches. You can also pamper yourself with resort amenities. However, you can also explore Goa on your own. Then, you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for Mumbai. Receive assistance on arrival. You will be transferred to the international airport to board the scheduled flight for your hometown. A departure will mark the conclusion of the tour with happy memories.
